Join professional photographer Gary Harris for a 1 on 1 Landscape Photography Workshop. All 1 on 1 workshops are 5 hour workshops. You get 3 hours of in-field instruction and 2 hours of editing instruction. The editing section of workshop will be in the comfort of my home office. All workshops are in and around the Quad-City area.
You choose the date, time and location.
Locations available: Lost Lake, Mississippi River or Iowa Countryside
Date: You choose the date that best suits your schedule. (weekday or weekend)
Time: Anytime daytime or sunset evening

What Will I Learn?
I am excited to teach you as much as I can about landscape photography within the time we have together.
Basics of landscape photography: How to get the most out of your photography equipment. Choosing your subject/ supporting subjects, composition, using the light that is available, how to make creative choices and creative vision.
Landscape photography techniques: Shooting in Manual Mode, White Balance, Focusing, Exposure Bracketing, Focus Stacking and Long Exposure.
Post-Processing: Since editing a photo is just as important as taking the photo itself, you will learn the basic techniques of photo editing in Adobe Lightroom. You will also learn some advanced techniques in Lightroom. You will learn some techniques in Photoshop, such as, basic layers and blending, how to focus stack, creating a panoramic image and more.
What Camera Gear Do I Need?
The camera equipment you already have is likely perfect for doing landscape photography, however I do recommend the following equipment.
DSLR or mirrorless camera (no phones or iPads)
Wide-Angle Lens (16-35mm)
Mid-Range Lens (24-70mm)
Telephoto Lens (70-200mm)
Sturdy Tripod (tripods help keep the camera steady)
Optional but highly I recommended:
Polarizing Filter
Neutral Density Filter (6-stop or 10-stop for long exposure)
Spare Camera Batteries
Remote Shutter Release
Photographers Backpack or Camera Bag

To sign up for workshop, I will need your name an email for billing.
In the message box, I will need the date, time & location you are interested in and your phone number, so I can give you a call to make sure the date, time & location works with my schedule. We will also set a meeting time and location for your workshop.
Once we have confirmed the date, time & location, I will send you an invoice through Pay-Pal. Invoice needs to be paid within 24 hours to reserve your workshop. After that, we are all set and I will see you at the set time and location for your workshop.
